Talent Scouting

To support lecturers of Universitas Riau to study overseas, Centre of International Affairs of Universitas Riau is managing a program called ‘talent scouting for university lecturers’. This progam will facilitate the lecturers to have some necessary skills for taking doctoral program overseas such as how to write a sound research proposal, how to approach potential research supervisors, and how to win a scholarship.

Interested applicants should meet the following requirements:

1. Be an active lecturer at Universitas Riau
2. Currentlt hold masters degree
3. Maximum of 38 years old by the deadline of registration day.
4. Fill out the registration form
5. Have a written doctoral research proposal (5 pages)
6. Preference will be given to those who already have correspondence with prospective supervisors abroad.

Procedures

To be more specific, here are the procedures of joining this program:

1. The Center for International Affairs (CIA) of Universitas Riau announces information on the Talent Scouting program through a notification letter to the dean and through the CIA website by informing the requirements and registration mechanism.
2. Lecturers who meet the requirements register by uploading the registration documents through the website of the Center for International Affairs.
3. The Center for International Affairs conducts the selection.
4. The Center for International Affairs announces the results of the selection.
5. The Center for International Affairs conducts Talent Scouting at the appointed time.
6. Participants of Talent Scouting submit their improved draft of research proposals for doctoral studies abroad.
7. The Center for International Affairs reports the results of Talent Scouting to the head of LPPMP of Universitas Riau.
